What aespa’s NingNing Finds Hard About Music Shows — And It’s Nothing Related To Performance

Aespa’s member NingNing is undoubtedly one of the best fourth-generation idols when it comes to stage presence.

But even off the stage, her bubbly personality and quirky sense of humor also make her shine on variety shows or even more stripped-down livestreams.

All in all, her idol persona usually leads people to believe that NingNing is a very charming and expressive person. But it turns out the reality is quite different.
Recently, the singer appeared in the latest episode of Bam House, hosted by GOT7’s BamBam, as a special guest, and the duo spent time talking about different aspects of their lives as idols in a homely, comfortable atmosphere.
| @bamhouse/YouTubeWhile the two artists got more comfortable with each other, BamBam asked NingNing her MBTI type, which she revealed to be “INFP.” The answer surprised BamBam as he asked, “INFPs are usually calm and quiet, right?” implying that the aespa member didn’t appear so.

NingNing followed up with an unintentionally funny response, saying she couldn’t be calm and quiet while appearing on a YouTube show. “But you know…I am working right now,” she replied, making the host break into a chuckle.

But BamBam doubled down on his take, saying he felt NingNing was more of an E (extrovert) than an I (introvert). She then explained that she is a true INFP, except with close friends.

In fact, NingNing revealed that her introverted personality used to make attending music shows challenging for her, not because she was shy on stage but because she found it hard to use the restroom! The singer admitted she can never go to the bathroom alone during a music show filming “because there are too many people.” But when she has to go, she always asks her manager to tag along.

BamBam immediately knew what she was talking about since he, too, goes the extra mile to avoid using the bathroom at Music Bank, where there tend to be more people. “So, I go up to the 2nd floor. I’m not supposed to use it, though.”

If there is ever an award for the true representation of introverts in K-Pop, these two artists should definitely be bagging that Bonsang.
