“School 2017” Actress Song Yoo Jung Has Suddenly Passed Away

Actress Song Yoo Jung, who appeared in iKON‘s “Goodbye Road” music video and in drama School 2017, has suddenly passed away.
According to an exclusive report from Maeil Kyungjae, Song Yoo Jung suddenly passed away on January 23. The cause of death has not been revealed. Her funeral has been set up in the Gangnam Seoul Medical Center, and her funeral procession will be carried out later today. Earlier editions of the article breaking the news stated she passed away by suicide, however all references to suicide have been removed.
Song Yoo Jung made her debut in the entertainment industry as a cosmetics brand model before transitioning to acting in MBC‘s 2013 weekend drama Golden Rainbow. She also appeared in MBC‘s 2014 daily drama Make Your Wish and KBS‘s School 2017.
In addition, she made an appearance as the lead actress in iKON’s “Goodbye Road” music video.
Song Yoo Jung had signed with Sublime Artist Agency in 2020 to continue her acting promotions. They made a short statement, confirming her passing.
Song Yoo Jung suddenly passed away on January 23.
