BLACKPINK’s Reactions To Being Honored By England’s King Charles III Gain Attention

BLACKPINK are arguably one of the most popular groups on the planet. Their impact knows no bounds, from their influence on the fashion industry with their many ambassadorships to their ability to completely dominate music charts.

Now, unsurprisingly, the group have been honored by literal royalty.

On November 21, the Korean State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in the United Kingdom took place to honor the President of South Korea’s visit.

Fans were surprised and overjoyed to see that BLACKPINK as a group were in attendance, with the group dressed elegantly for the occasion.

Even more surprisingly, the group were honored during King Charles III‘s speech at the event.

While talking about South Korea and making several pop culture references, King Charles III directly mentioned the group by their names, applauding the group for spreading the message of environmental sustainability.

I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, better known collectively as BLACKPINK, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience as ambassadors for the U.K.’s Presidency of COP 26, and later as advocates for the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. I can only admire how they can prioritize these vital issues, as well as being global superstars.
