Woman Stalking BTS’s V Summoned By The Police

A woman who was identified as a stalker of BTS’s V has been summoned by the police, according to recent reports.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station revealed on November 17 that they had issued a no-detention summon to “A,” a woman in her 20s, suspected of violating the “anti-stalking” law and trespassing.

Ms. A allegedly stalked the BTS member on October 28 at around 6:30 pm. She took the elevator, approached V, talked to him, and even handed him a marriage registration form. Ms. A left the scene afterward, but the police started investigating the incident after receiving a report from the security guard.

After the incident was made public last month, V reassured fans that he was okay through a post on Weverse.

However, during the investigation, some scary details about the accused came to the surface. It was discovered that the accused had visited V’s apartment several times before. Consequently, the police swiftly imposed an emergency restraining order on Ms. A, which prohibits her from being within 100 meters of the singer’s vicinity and contacting him through messages or phone calls.

In the past few months, multiple BTS members have been the target of stalkers, pushing them to call out such behavior publicly. The group’s agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, also released a statement in September this year, outlining their stricter “No Settlement Policy” for BTS’s stalkers.

If Ms. A is found guilty of the stalking charges, she could be facing up to three years in prison or ₩30.0 million KRW (about $21,200 USD) in fines, as per the revised anti-stalking law of South Korea.
