One veteran first-generation idol who recently joined the trend and transformed into a fourth-generation idol was Lee Hyori.

On October 17, photos were posted from Lee Hyori’s schedule where she was filming for AKMU‘s Long Day Long Night. As soon as fans saw the preview photos, they noticed that the idol had made a drastic change to her hair and tried the “hime cut.”

Unsurprisingly, despite years in the industry, Hyori proved she can pull off any look and make it look effortless and sophisticated.

On October 18 (KST), she then posted some close-up photos of her new hair on Instagram and continued to wow netizens with her visuals.

On the Korean forum theqoo, the post gained nearly 80,000 views while focusing on the change of makeup shop and hairstyle.

Yet, others online couldn’t hide how young Hyori looked, even joking that she looked like she could be the leader of a fourth-generation girl group, and others pointing out how they mistook her for a member of NewJeans.

While Lee Hyori debuted over 20 years ago, the idol always looks like she could’ve debuted yesterday as part of a fourth-generation girl group.
