BIGHIT MUSIC Is Changing How They Select TXT’s Song Titles

TXT recently made an anticipated comeback with their third album, The Name Chapter: FREEFALL.
To celebrate their comeback, members Soobin, Beomgyu, and Hueningkai appeared on the popular variety program, The K-Star Next Door, and during the show, they discussed their group dynamic, their relationship with HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk, and what their agency realized they needed to change in regards to the group’s songs.

During the segment, Jonathan brought up the topic of TXT’s group and song names, sharing that some people felt they were “way too long.”

Beomgyu and Hueningkai agreed, stating that even they had to admit they were “very long,” naming three examples, “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)” (9와 4분의 3 승강장에서 너를 기다려),” “Can’t We Just Leave the Monster Alive?” (그냥 괴물을 살려두면 안 되는 걸까),” and “CROWN (어느날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다).”

While the song titles and their group name set TXT (full name TOMORROW X TOGETHER) apart, Hueningkai revealed that it caused issues for the group, saying that music show hosts were often confused due to their “long team name.”

Jonathan pointed out that the group’s latest title song, “Chasing That Feeling,” was notably shorter, with only five syllables.
Soobin and Beomgyu hilariously said that BIGHIT MUSIC started to realize “they needed to stop” with the long song names. Hueningkai added that their company “realized it was too much.”

They did point out the benefit of having long song titles, revealing that people would spot longer text and joke that it was a TXT song, leading to increased public recognition.

While BIGHIT MUSIC may select shorter song titles in the future, the group agrees that their lengthy song names work for them.
