“I Wanna Experience Eating My Own Fandom”: GOT7’s BamBam Wants To Taste Ahgase

Recently, GOT7‘s BamBam met Ahgases (also known as iGOT7, GOT7’s fandom) in Manila, Philippines, for the AREA52 FANSIGN & PRESSCON.

During the event, BamBam revealed that 2NE1‘s Sandara Park (also known as Dara) told him she wanted to introduce him to Balut. It’s a common street food in the Philippines.

She wants to bring me to eat something called… balut? The duck?

BamBam added that he would like to taste his fans. He told the crowd he would like to experience “eating” his fandom.

*Balut is a fertilized bird egg (usually a duck)

Of course, BamBam was just joking! Balut is actually a fertilized developing bird (usually duck) egg embryo that is boiled or steamed and eaten from the shell. And, well, Ahgase has the double meaning of “baby bird” in Korean.

Sandara Park responded to a viral clip of BamBam mentioning her and Balut. She claimed she honestly could not eat it, but she was cheering on him to try it.

Ahgases were also shocked by BamBam’s statement but also amused at the joke.
