The Time Park Seo Joon Became The Hottest Meme Trend On The Internet

A meme trend took over the internet, and it features one of our favorite Korean actors!

It’s none other than Park Seo Joon, known for his roles in popular K-Dramas, such as Itaewon Class, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim (just to name a few). It is gaining popularity primarily through the famous Facebook group subtle asian traits.

The memes are referred to in the Facebook group as the “PSJ trend” and typically feature a picture of Park Seo Joon with a play on words of his name, creating puns or essentially “dad jokes.” In this case, the user said that they would name their suitcase “Seo Joon” so that they would be able to “Pack Seo Joon.”

From then on, others joined the trend of uploading pictures of the actor and saying that they will name something “Seo Joon.”

Some got extra creative and whipped out their editing skills. One user edited a park’s sign to “Seo Joon Park” and even added photos of the actor. Graphic design is clearly their passion!

We’re now all looking to buy up some property, renovate it into a park and call it Seo Joon. Anything to get us to go outside and touch some grass, right?

This new trend has become so popular that it has also inspired other subtle asian traits members to make even more variations of this meme. But, they are including some more famous Korean celebrities, such as BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo and BTS‘s Jungkook and Jimin.
