The Time When Kim Jong Kook Admitted Yoon Eun Hye Was His Ideal Type

Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye were the talk of the town back in the early 2000’s as they portrayed an adorable “couple” on-air for SBS‘s hit variety program, X-Man. Their chemistry and similarities instantly became a hit, as everyone in the nation began wondering if the two were really in a relationship.

Decades later, the two stars have started to make headlines again for their previous on-air love affair and this time, it’s one of Kim Jong Kook’s old interviews that began to resurface.

Back in 2008, Kim Jong Kook appeared on MBC‘s The Knee-Drop Guru and it was the Yoon Eun Hye-related segment that has been making headlines. The singer got the interview started by admitting that the actress was his ideal type.

Yoon Eun Hye-sshi is the type that I usually like.

He continued by revealing the specific characteristics that he liked about Yoon Eun Hye.

She’s very polite and has great manners. Looking at those characteristics, she’s the type that I like.

Going along with the theme, Kang Ho Dong couldn’t help himself but bring up the legendary ear covering “Of Course” game that happened between Kim Jong Kook and actor Lee Min Ki.

During the game, Lee Min Ki-sshi asked if ‘you hated Yoon Eun Hye’ and wow. There’s no way you can act in that type of performance if you’re not dating.

When Kang Ho Dong asked Kim Jong Kook if he had actually dated Yoon Eun Hye at the time, Kim Jong Kook couldn’t help but get flustered. He dodged the question by confessing that during their time as an on-air “couple,” he developed some feelings for the actress.

During our time on the show, we were an on-air couple. Because of that, I think I developed some feelings. I thought to myself, ‘here (on X-Man,) Yoon Eun Hye is my girlfriend.’

Kang Ho Dong concluded with another very blunt question — the comedian asked Kim Jong Kook if he ever “regretted not getting together with Yoon Eun Hye?”
