Yet, for every successful girl group that debuts, there is a talented set of idols who don’t see the same fame, especially if they’re from small companies. Recently, a member of “nugu” group FERRY BLUE shared the hardships she has suffered since debuting in 2021.

On August 28, MAMAMOO‘s Solar appeared on the channel Kizzle, where she chatted with others who are in or want to be in the music industry.

Who shared that she debuted in a girl group but sadly explained that she didn’t think Solar would have heard of them.

Baek Seona revealed that when she debuted, the group suffered financial hardships, and she felt that she was going backward.

Of course, Solar wanted to know the comments, and they were truly awful. In particular, the members of FERRY BLUE are all young but the comment about being “too old to dream” showcases the prejudice in K-Pop of those debuting at an older age.

After finally revealing her identity, Solar shared her own advice. While RBW is a well-known company, when MAMAMOO debuted, they were unknown and suffered hardships, which even led to an uncertain future for the group.

While FERRY BLUE are from a small company, all the members are extremely talented and deserve all the support rather than criticism. In particular, their track “Game Over” showcases each members’ talent and how groups don’t always need huge productions to shine.
