Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon recently concluded her Asia tour for The Odd Of Love.
She performed a successful tour around seven different cities, selling out each and every venue. She even set records for female soloists! Read on to find out more about how successful her tour was.
Taeyeon on tour. | Korea HeraldTaeyeon became the first female singer amongst both groups and soloists to hold a concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Area of the KSPO Dome. She sold out around 18,000 seats in Seoul over two days. Every single seat in the stadium was sold out through presales.
For Hong Kong, she already became the first female artist to perform at the Arena since her previous tour. This time, she sold out 11,130 seats. In Japan, she sold out 16,000 seats over two days, becoming the second female singer to perform at the arena. The first was BoA.
Taeyeon’s concert in Indonesia was originally confirmed to the fifth hall of the area. Later on, through Indonesia fans’ truck protests and petition, they added the sixth hall. She sold 9000 seats on total.
For the Philippines, Taeyeon sold out around 8000 seats. In Thailand, her previous tour was already the first female soloist to perform in the Thunderdome at 5000 seats. This time, she sold out almost 4 times as much, selling 18,000 seats at the Impact Arena. She was once again the first female soloist to perform there.
For Singapore, Taeyeon became the first K-Pop female soloist to perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. She sold out all her seats, with an additional day added at the end. The total was around 18,000 seats. Last but not least, for Taiwan, she sold out 12,000 seats in just three minutes.
