SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan Reassures Fans On His Healing Process In New Update

Since early July, Seungkwan has been taking a well-deserved hiatus in order to recover his health. He’s been taking time away from SEVENTEEN‘s schedule on and off since the passing of his dear friend Moonbin of ASTRO earlier this year, and fans have worried about his well-being throughout the last several months.

His official hiatus didn’t begin until July, though, and thankfully, it seems that he really has been taking time to heal and rest in the last month and a half.

Early on August 16 KST, Seungkwan took to Weverse to share what he’s been up to with fans, including several pictures of his various adventures.

It looks like he’s had the opportunity to do some traveling and get out in nature, which is definitely a healing and restful place to be.

Along with the photos, Seungkwan also shared a long message with Carats to let them know how he’s been doing, and based on his words, it sounds like his hiatus has been very needed and very rewarding!

How are you doing Carats? It’s been a while
There are so many things I want to say, but first of all I’ve missed you so much..!
You were also probably curious how I’ve been doing right?
I’ve been resting and recovering well
It feels like I’ve experienced true rest for the first time
Of course there were times when I went on vacation/break for a few days
But this is the first time in my life I’ve taken a break completely for myself, completely thinking of myself in order to recharge
Of course it wasn’t easy at first, taking a break
The members have been filling my spot, and I was worried. But I didn’t want to burden them with such worries
And I was so grateful for Carats, who’ve been waiting for me so supportively. I felt terrible [about making you wait], since that’s just my personality
But thanks to your support
I’m really getting so much better
I feel like it won’t be too long before I can come back to you all
I meant to leave just a short message with some photos, but I couldn’t help myself once I started writing, haha
Anyway, I’m going to leave it here for today
And I’ll come back later to share a lot more
I can’t wait to greet you all again!
