Elon Musk Unintentionally Takes Over A Fourth-Generation K-Pop Idol Group’s YouTube Channel — Their Agency Confirms They Were Hacked

The YouTube channel of the group BLITZERS was hacked, resulting in all their videos being deleted—and a random CEO making an appearance.

On August 6, all videos posted on BLITZERS’ official YouTube channel were deleted. The channel name was changed to “Tesla,” and videos featuring Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, were uploaded, causing confusion.

A confused netizen posted a screenshot of BLITZERS’ YouTube channel in a Reddit post titled, “What’s going on with BLITZERS’ YouTube channel?” The screenshot showed videos unrelated to the idol group.

Currently, BLITZERS’ official YouTube channel is inactive due to violations of Google‘s community guidelines resulting from the hacking.

On August 8, their agency WUZO Entertainment released an announcement confirming that their channel had been hacked and that “content unrelated to the artist [was] uploaded.” They stated that they were in the process of recovering their channel and thanked fans for their understanding.

BLITZERS debuted in 2021 with their first mini-album, CHECK-IN, with seven members: Jinhwa, Go_U, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan, and Wooju. The group had around 186,000 subscribers and over 550 videos on its YouTube channel before the hacking incident.
