BTS’s Jungkook “Upset” After Performing At Suga’s Concert, But ARMYs Strongly Disagree

On August 4, KST, BTS’s Suga held the first show of his three-day encore concert series, Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE FINAL, at the KSPO Dome. Jungkook appeared as a surprise guest on the show and performed two songs, “Burn It” and “Seven.”

While the BTS maknae’s performance had the whole arena erupt into loud cheers, the singer himself wasn’t satisfied with his performance. He joined Suga on stage during the last verse of “Burn It,” and they finished the song together. However, Suga left the stage and gave the spotlight to Jungkook for him to perform his solo single by himself.
I'd like to talk about the way Yoongi just left the stage to Jungkook after Burn It without even looking back like he knows his brother got his back, and that they're all amazing performers who can take over the stage any moment.

A few hours after the concert, Jungkook went live on Weverse and immediately expressed his regrets about his performance. Though ARMYs had zero complaints, he pointed out that he messed up the lyrics briefly during “Burn It” due to nervousness and kept apologizing to fans and Suga.

Funnily though, most ARMYs didn’t even realize that he had made a mistake on stage before he pointed it out during the livestream. When they tried to reassure Jungkook, saying nobody even noticed, he could hardly believe it.

Jungkook also expressed his disappointment in his “Seven” performance, explaining that he couldn’t hear the instrumental well due to an in-ear glitch and struggled to grasp the correct pitch.
Oh, by the way… About ‘Seven.’ While performing ‘Seven,’ I took off the in-ear. And suddenly, I couldn’t really grasp the pitch. I couldn’t hear the music and… so I didn’t know if I was going a bit flat or a bit sharp. I was like, ‘Oh man, what am I going to do?’ But… I kept singing. Just kept going. I was going off on the beat of the drums. I could only hear the drums. And the sound of my own voice from my microphone was so loud… I just struggled with getting the right pitch. But, I mean, I know how I sing that song. So I kept going to the beat of the drums. It felt like a super-raw live, just me singing to the drums. It wasn’t really about the quality of the sound system, either. Anyway, I was… It was a chaotic moment. Should I look up the performance?

His perfectionist side came through once he started monitoring his performance through the videos posted online and couldn’t help being upset over the minor mistakes. Jungkook even wanted to have a go at performing the songs once again at the next show, but Suga joined the livestream and told him that it wouldn’t be possible.

After Jungkook’s broadcast, many fans rewatched his performance videos and found the mistakes negligibly minor. In fact, it was more impressive knowing that he finished his “Seven” performance without even having the aid of the instrumental.

Though the idol eventually settled with his mistake saying it’s all in the past, he still treated it as a learning moment. The fact that despite being one of the biggest stars in the world with a ten-year-long career at the top, Jungkook was this sincere about his performance only speaks to his intense professionalism and high standards as an artist!
