A Heated Seo Jang Hoon Fires “Fact-Bombs” At A Woman Who Can’t Leave Her Habitually Cheating Husband

Former professional basketball player and TV personality Seo Jang Hoon recently expressed anger at the story of a woman struggling due to her husband’s infidelity.

On KBS JOY‘s show Unpredictable Fortunetellers, which aired on July 31, a woman came on the show to talk about her husband, who habitually cheats on his wife. Unpredictable Fortunetellers is a talk show where “fortune teller” Seo Jang Hoon and “child monk” Lee Soo Geun advise guests who come with their problems.

In a recent episode, the woman teared up before sharing her story of her cheating husband. She shared that she and her husband have been married for eight years, and he had been cheating on her since two or three years into their marriage. He cheated on her about once a year with the people around him, including his boss’s wife, a market employee, and even his wife’s coworker. The woman got pregnant one day, leading to the husband eventually asking for a divorce.

At first, we were living as a weekend couple, but I moved to where he was because I got pregnant. I met him while he was drunk, but he suggested divorce. When I asked why, he said he had another woman he wanted to live with. I tried to persuade him to change his mind.

A declaration of divorce

This shocked Seo Jang Hoon, who was visibly angry as he stated that logically, the person who cheated should be the one trying to persuade the other. He was even more flabbergasted when the woman shared that her health had deteriorated since finding out about her husband’s cheating. She had grown cysts, gotten surgery, was diagnosed with diabetes, and lost teeth.

Since I found out about his infidelity, my health has been deteriorating. I was under so much stress that I completely lost it in March last year. I had three cysts in my uterus, and they grew so big that I had to have surgery. At the same time, I had hernia surgery and was diagnosed with diabetes. I also have week gums, and [in one year] eight or nine teeth fell out. I have none left on top.

In response to the woman’s deteriorating health and unwillingness to leave her husband, Seo Jang Hoon had a few straightforward facts he wanted to tell her.

I feel really bad for you, but I have to say this one thing before I move on. Who is the one who betrayed you? But you don’t settle the matter regarding your husband’s betrayal and keep forgiving him and can’t say anything, and he continues to look for new cheating partners.

Seo Jang Hoon believed the husband would never get a wake-up call if she always forgave him and never said anything. When she shared that she would yell at her husband’s mistresses, Seo Jang Hoon angrily told her that she needed to confront him and not anybody else.

You get angry and vent your frustration everywhere, but to really deal with him, you need to go to him and deal with him. You don’t say anything to him and do nothing. That’s why you’re looking for targets because you can’t release your anger. You need to deal with your husband, so why are you calling someone else?

The angel’s attack of fact-bombs

He assured her he was not her soulmate if he cheated that easily and encouraged her not to be so deep in love. The woman then shared that her husband knew about her three miscarriages caused by the stress of learning about his infidelity, and she hoped he would change after finding out about her miscarriages.

Seo Jang Hoon stated that if he cared about that, he would not have cheated in the first place. On the other hand, the woman said that her husband is still her only family since she has been alone since middle school.

Then Seo Jang Hoon shared the advice that summed up his thoughts on the woman’s situation.

I’m speaking bluntly out of pity. If you want to make your life a mess and want to live with him in chaos, then go ahead and live with him. If you can’t do anything because you are hopelessly in love, then live with him. But if you want to start a new life before it’s too late, then cut him off with strong determinating starting today.
