When BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo steps out, the world takes notice, and this time it’s not just about her trendsetting fashion. Recently spotted at Seoul Gimbo Business Airport, Jisoo turned heads not just with her impeccable style but with the powerful statement she was making through it.

The vocalist of one of the world’s most famous K-Pop girl groups was seen wearing a black T-shirt that caught the attention of fans and the media alike. The T-shirt, part of Courrèges‘ “Over the Rainbow” collection, is more than just a stylish piece of clothing — it’s a banner of support for the rights and recognition of the LGBTQ+ community.

The “Over the Rainbow” collection is a unique collaboration between French fashion brand Courrèges and the Centre Pompidou, resulting from the exhibition of the same name. The shirt worn by Jisoo was designed by Nicolas Di Felice, and carries the inspiring message, “United We Stand, Over the Rainbow.”

The statement was written boldly across the front and the back of the shirt, an impossible-to-miss powerful reinforcement of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.

Jisoo chose to pair the T-shirt with a casual blue shirt and light blue jeans, creating a stylish, relaxed look that put her statement tee in the spotlight. The shirt retails for 170 euros, and all profits from the sales go to Ardhis, an organization that works tirelessly to protect and advocate for the rights of foreign homosexual and trans persons residing in France.

Ardhis, or Association for the Recognition of the Rights of Homosexual and Trans Persons to Immigration and Residence, offers crucial support to individuals who have suffered or are at risk of suffering persecution in their home country due to their sexual or gender orientation.

The organization provides advice, support, and follow-up in various administrative procedures to help these individuals establish a lasting right of residence in France.

But this isn’t the first time Jisoo has used her platform to signal support for the LGBTQ+ community. Back in 2019, she was spotted wearing Balenciaga‘s “You Are The World” graphic print T-shirt, a piece from its Resort 2019 collection that was meant to express solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
