Who Is He? A Handsome Face On Actor Song Joong Ki’s Instagram Gets Fans Curious

After welcoming his first baby into the world, actor Song Joong Ki seems to be enjoying some much-deserved time off with his family. The actor appears to have taken a sabbatical from his social media as well, given how it has been over a month since his last Instagram post. But one of the top photos on his profile’s grid has piqued some curiosity for featuring a second handsome face alongside the star himself.

The photos go back to May this year when Song attended the Cannes Film Festival for his upcoming movie Hopeless. In the pictures, he is seen posing with the man showing off friendly chemistry between them. Even though both of them are dressed in casual white t-shirts, their combined visuals come through strongly.

But who is this handsome face sitting on Song’s Instagram page?

Well, he is also an actor named Jeong Jae Kwang. Jeong is a co-star of Song Joong Ki in Hopeless and attended the Cannes Film Festival with him and the film’s leading lady BIBI.

However, his face might seem familiar to some K-Drama fans, given his impressive filmography. Jeong debuted in 2016 in the movie Summer Night. He played a supporting role in the film. From then onwards, he has worked in some significant Korean dramas and an impressive lineup of movies.

In 2017, he appeared in the supporting role of prosecutor Yun in the hit K-Drama Witch’s Court, which was followed by a more significant role as Kim Geon Yong in a 2019 K-Drama called The Fiery Priest, starring Kim Nam Gil in the leading role.

Jeong also bagged a supporting role in the 2020 global hit drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, where he played the character of Joo Jung Tae, one of the patients at the hospital where the male protagonist worked. The following year he appeared in Nevertheless, a show that created a lot of buzz thanks to the chemistry of the lead actors Han So Hee and Song Kang. Jeong played the role of Ahn Kyung Joon, a senior of Han’s character Nabi.

In 2022 and 2023, he appeared in two more dramas in supporting roles. The actor has finally landed his first K-Drama main role in an upcoming show called The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.

Since 2016, Jeong has appeared in nine movies, including Hopeless. Some of his other notable works include Extreme Job (2018), Vertigo (2019), Pipeline (2021), and Not Out (2021). He played the main role in Not Out, winning multiple Best New Actor awards, including at the Blue Dragon Film Awards 2021.

Apart from being the co-star of Song Joong Ki in his upcoming movie, Jeong is also his labelmate, as both actors are signed to High Zium Studio. Other famous artists under the agency include Lee Jong Suk, Oh Eui Sik, Lim Cheol Soo, and Kim Ji Won.
