“The Glory” Actress Lim Ji Yeon Apologizes To The People Who Have The Same Name As Her Character “Park Yeon Jin”

At the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards, actress Lim Ji Yeon apologized to those who have the name “Park Yeon Jin” in real life.

The 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards, which was held on July 19 at Incheon Paradise City, showcased the many talented actors who were nominated for their acting skills. The nominees for the Best Supporting Actress Award in the K-Drama category were Lim Ji Yeon for The Glory, Lee Elijah from Decoy, Kyung Soo Jin from Shadow Detective, Jung Eun Chae from Anna, and Kim Joo Ryoung from Big Bet.

Lim Ji Yeon was honored with the award, and during her speech, she expressed her gratitude to the people who loved The Glory and the staff, sharing the award with them. She also thanked her fellow actors and especially praised Kim Eun Sook, the writer of the show, for including the line “Yeon Jin-ah” in the script—which ended up indirectly extending her screen time. She then apologized to those who have the name “Park Yeon Jin” in real life.

It became a name so commonly used that the actress felt bad for people who actually have the name “Park Yeon Jin.”
