Universally known for its intense competition and grueling schedules, survival shows are challenging even for adults. But now, Universe Ticket, set to air on SBS later in 2023, is making waves for featuring contestants born in 2011. The show follows the journey of 82 contestants who strive for a place in a globally-targeted K-Pop girl group, with activities planned in both the real world and the metaverse.

This show is an indirect sequel to LOUD, which was instrumental in forming the popular P NATION boy group TNX. Some are left wondering if such young contestants can handle the high-pressure environment, while others are excited to see fresh faces in the K-Pop industry.
TNX | P NATION1. Lim Seowon
Among these young stars, Lim Seowon stands out. A celebrated trot singer, musical actress, and television personality under Lean Branding, Seowon is no stranger to survival shows. The trainee was born on January 27, 2011, and has already appeared in shows like Music Love and Miss Trot 2.
Lim Seowon | SBSShe has shown incredible determination to succeed in the music industry through these appearances. The young star even has her own single, “Shoulder Dance” which was released on April 24, 2021.

2. Lee Eunchae & Choi Yeojin
While Seowon is already well known to most, these two South Korean trainees are seemingly starting off their careers on Universe Ticket. Eunchae and Yeojin were born in January 11 and June 22 of 2011, respectively. While there isn’t much known about both 12-year-olds, their participation alone has caused quite a commotion due to their young age. But it also has been a subject of intrigue and anticipation.

3. Nizi
Last but definitely not least, Nizi is the youngest Japanese trainee set to appear on the survival show. Having trained under Stepout Dance Academy, fans are excited to see the young star’s dancing abilities. However, just like with the other girls, netizens aren’t thrilled to have a 12-year-old (born on August 29, 2010) on the show. Nizi’s international background also adds diversity to the show and represents the globalization of the K-Pop industry.
