Why SHINee’s Taemin Avoided Being Minho’s Roommate For 15 Years

When SHINee joked around for Idol Human Theater, Minho realized he’d been roommates with Onew, Jonghyun, and Key at one point. That left Taemin as the only member who was left out.

Minho hilariously asked him, “Why are you avoiding me?” Taemin initially tried to deny it.

Key joked, “It was pretty obvious you didn’t like him.” So Taemin apologized to Minho and explained why he’d drawn a line.

Although he’d forgotten, he quickly remembered why. Taemin had avoided being Minho’s roommate for fifteen years because it went further than just sharing a room. That was only the beginning.

I think I avoided him. There was a time when I thought it was a relief that I didn’t share a room with him.

He’s so passionate! He also wanted the members to follow him well. He had that side of him.

He wants to work out together; he likes to work out together. It’s so hard to keep up with his physical strength! It was so hard.

Taemin couldn’t help spilling about Minho’s sleeping habits, either. Minho had a few habits that were too distracting for Taemin to ignore.

He hugs me when I come to bed. He has a sleeping habit. He sleepwalks. Yes, I wasn’t comfortable being roommates with Minho.

Fifteen years later, Taemin didn’t feel the same way. He was open to finally making it happen. Taemin admitted, “But I guess I’ve reached the age that I could accept everything.”
