Debut Or Die: ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin Names The “Worst” Thing He Did To Get Votes On “Boys Planet”
본문
ZEROBASEONE is the latest group to appear on “KStarNextDoor.” The first part of the show featured the interview of members Gunwook, Gyuvin, Ricky, and Sung Hanbin.
The latter was introduced to the trendy Korean webnovel Debut Or Die, a transmigration story about a man who has to debut as a K-Pop idol or risk passing away.
Host Jonathan related this to his next question, “Debut or die. You’ll die if you don’t get to debut. What’s the worst thing you did to get more votes?”

Like the main character of the webnovel, Sung Hanbin was also a famous contestant on a survival program. He entered Boys Planet as an unknown trainee and left it ranking in second place.
As a whole, Hanbin did not do anything too drastic to gain the support of the viewers. He did, however, act much cuter than he’s used to in real life. He said that he did not do aegyo in the past.
I was too shy to make hearts or anything like that.

In order to stand out in the first performance, he added a heart pose to his cover of ONF‘s “Beautiful Beautiful.”
This embarrassed him when he monitored his performance later on.
During the level test, I made the cheek heart. When I was monitoring it, I was like, ‘Is that really me?’

Fortunately, his aegyo was well received by the viewers inside the studio and those watching at home. Mnet even replayed the heart scene for maximum effect.

At least it worked out in the end!
