Lee Seung Gi’s Former Label CEO Is Investigated For Drug Offense

Lee Seung Gi‘s controversial former label CEO, Kwon Jin Young, is being investigated for drug offenses.

On June 23, SBS News reported that Southern Gyeonggi Police authorities had asked prosecutors to formally charge Kwon Jin Young for obtaining sleeping pills through three agency employees, including one executive.

According to the police, Kwon Jin Young had ordered a HOOK Entertainment employee to falsely claim they had insomnia to doctors in order to receive 14 doses of sleeping pills. The CEO is also alleged to have obtained sleeping pills illegally from another employee, who was originally prescribed the drugs.

Kwon Jin Young’s alleged offenses were first reported last December amid the CEO’s legal dispute with Lee Seung Gi. At the time, HOOK Entertainment denied the report and threatened to take legal action.

CEO Kwon Jin Young has never illegally obtained sleeping pills through a third party. We will take legal action against the defamatory report.
