International Netizens Defend xooos From Malicious Hate Comments Following Park Seo Joon Dating Rumors

The K-Drama world was rocked after dating rumors arose about popular actor Park Seo Joon.

On June 20 (KST), rumors arose that the popular actor was dating xooos, a YouTuber and a singer with over 1.5 million subscribers.

After the rumors broke, while both companies couldn’t verify the stars’ private lives, Park Seo Joon had a similar stance when addressing it at the press conference for his upcoming film.

I heard about the news very late yesterday. My first thought after hearing the news was ‘I’m getting a lot of attention’. I thought getting that attention is something to be thankful for.

Yet, although xooos was fairly known before the rumors, it’s not surprising that the star has gained a lot more attention online, both positive and negative.

Considering the fame of Park Seo Joon amongst K-Drama fans, many weren’t surprised that xooos’s Instagram photos started to get filled with some negative comments, especially her most recent post.

There were some passionate comments from international fans who didn’t believe she was “worthy” of Park Seo Joon.

Yet, while there were some negative comments, netizens also seemed to come to xooos’s defense. Under the post, many shared that people should leave her alone, with others trying to counteract the negativity with praise.

Of course, any sort of dating rumors within the Korean entertainment industry will receive backlash from fans of the star. Yet, it seems reassuring that international fans are coming to xooos’s defense in the comments amidst the wave of hate.
