&TEAM Hopes To Follow BTS’s Footsteps And Become Global Artists

HYBE LABELS JAPAN’s first global group &TEAM will start promoting in Korea for the first since their debut. At their recent media showcase for their second mini album, First Howling: WE, the members talked about wanting to follow in the footsteps of senior groups.

The nine-member group debuted last year and was formed through the audition program, &AUDITION-The Howling. This program was presented by HYBE’s Japanese headquarters, HYBE JAPAN, led by chairman Bang Si Hyuk.

Although only one member of the group is Korean, all of them are fluent in Korean and are expected to be active in various fields such as music broadcast, entertainment shows, and performances. Yuma commented, “I hope many people worldwide will listen to the album because the atmosphere has been completed in a very different way.”

The group will appear on various Korean music broadcasts starting on June 22 for three weeks. They hope to deliver their charm and talent to the Korean audience through these promotions.

Regarding their feelings about promoting in Korea, EJ stated, “As an HYBE artist, although we are still lacking, we have prepared hard to work globally like our senior artists. We are so happy to be able to show our work finally.”

Although we are nervous about showing ourselves to more people than ever before, the nine of us have worked hard. I grew up with my dream while watching BTS unite the world with the culture of K-Pop. I want to make music that is loved by people worldwide, like our seniors, no matter what language they use.

The Japanese members also expressed their aspirations in Korean. K commented, “I’m the type of person who has a lot of worries, so I practiced a lot, and now I just want to show it. Right now, rather than worrying about it, I want to showcase it in various places. Please look forward to it.”

Yuma added, “I dreamed of becoming an artist because I longed for K-Pop, which people worldwide were fascinated by. I want to convey emotion through music and performances that are not limited to one genre.”
