She revealed that while most of those kisses were in the script, some of them were improvised as well. The goal, Ahn said, was to bring out the natural intimacy of a couple who has known each other for a long time from close proximity.

There were a lot of kissing scenes. We followed the script, and we added some as well…Rather than the awkward-cute flirty moments, we wanted to focus on showing the comfortable and natural moments. We wanted to show spontaneous intimacy, like leaning on or touching each other.
