The Korean Actress Who Was Arrested for Drunk Driving (DUI) Is Revealed To Be Jin Ye Sol

Actress Jin Ye Sol was revealed to be the actress charged for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On June 12, the Gangdong Police Station said they were investigating an actress in her 30s on charges of drunk driving; the actress had reportedly hit the guardrail twice while driving on the Olympic Boulevard highway toward Hanam. Later that day, Jin Ye Sol’s agency, DI Entertainment, admitted to the drunk driving charges. According to the reports, Jin Ye Sol drove drunk after drinking at a restaurant in Sinsa-dong (the Gangnam area) at 10:30 p.m. KST.

A witness reported Jin Ye Sol as a suspected drunk vehicle after seeing her car on Olympic Boulevard. Within 30 minutes, the police caught Jin Ye Sol—she was asleep at the wheel while waiting for the signal in a three-way intersection in Godeok-dong. It was revealed that at the time she was captured, her breathalyzer test results warranted a suspended license.

In response, DI Entertainment apologized for the controversy and the actress and the company will self-reflect.

There is no excuse for drunk driving and for Jin Ye Sol’s behavior, and Jin Ye Sol and her agency will self-reflect with a deep sense of responsibility. We are sorry to everyone and apologize once again for causing controversy.
