Since debuting in 2022, NewJeans has gained attention from not only netizens but huge designer brands. Recently, Minji has gained attention for her “flexes” as Chanel‘s ambassador with her luxury items.
NewJeans’ Minji | Phoning In March 2023, Minji was announced as the newest ambassador for the luxury brand Chanel.
Unsurprisingly, with the idol’s visuals and charm, she seemed like the perfect fit and embodied the brand’s image in her photoshoots.

| ELLE On June 12, W Korea released a video with NewJeans’ Minji where the idol introduced all the luxury products she has as an ambassador for the brand.

From the very beginning, Minji was flexing her role as Chanel’s ambassador as netizens noticed the idol was wearing a jumpsuit from the brand’s recent collection. It was the same as the idol wore in the photoshoot for the publication.
The outfit worn in the editorial and in the video | W Korea According to Korean media outlets, the jumpsuit retails at ₩9.37 million KRW (about $7,300 USD).

The video started with Minji flexing a pair of sunglasses from the brand that she bought last year in Paris. It would’ve been before the idol became a brand ambassador.

When the video was posted, Korean media outlets couldn’t get over the idol’s “flexes,” even netizens loved seeing Minji treated like a luxurious queen.

If that wasn’t enough, one fan shared the total of the whole outfit that Minji was wearing. Although most of the look was probably lent to the idol from the brand to promote her role as the brand’s ambassador, it was still a shocking amount of money.

Yet, amidst the attention Minji gained for her luxurious items as Chanel’s ambassador, it could be said to bring back concerns about the influence it could have on young teenagers.
