How BTS’s Debut-Era Predictions For 2023 Compare To Reality

It is BTS‘s 10th anniversary (KST), and around the world, ARMYs are joining the group in celebration. As the members reflect on the past decade, fans are also taking a look back at how far the group has come.

1. RM
BTS’s RM in 2013 In 2013, BTS’s RM imagined himself as a “rich rapper” when he pictured his 2023 self, and while he achieved his dream, he became more than just a “rich rapper.”
In 2023, RM is a songwriter, a music producer, a leader, an ambassador for the Ministry Of National Defense’s excavation team, an appreciator of the arts, a philanthropist, and so much more.
2. Jin
BTS’s Jin in 2013 In 2013, BTS’s Jin expressed his desire to be Sergeant Kim Seokjin of the Bangtan ARMY and someone that moms like to watch on TV.
In 2023, Jin is a Private First Class in the South Korean military as he completes his 18-month service. He also achieved his dream of being someone that people of all demographics enjoy watching on TV.

BTS’s Suga in 2013 In 2013, BTS’s Suga shared his dream of dominating the world with his music, hoping that everyone could hear it in the future.
In 2023, Suga is on his solo world tour, SUGA | Agust D “D-DAY,” doing just what he dreamed about. He has also collaborated with multiple global artists allowing his music to be heard by an even wider audience worldwide.

BTS’s J-Hope in 2013 In 2013, BTS’s J-Hope predicted he would be a member of the “internationally famous Bangtan” and “in the army.”
In 2023, he is currently serving in the military and was selected to be an assistant drill instructor like Jin. Of course, J-Hope’s other prediction came true as BTS earned incredible global fame.

BTS’s Jimin in 2013 In 2013, BTS’s Jimin envisioned himself as a “cool singer who enjoys the stage,” which, of course, came true.
Over the past decade, BTS has sold out concerts across the world, and Jimin has been able to enjoy many performances as an awarded singer.

BTS’s V in 2013 BTS’s V is one of two members whose predictions for the future looked a little different from reality.
In 2013, V imagined his 2023 self having two kids, Taekwon and Taegeuk. He described enjoying a day at the zoo with them, feeding animals, and being a “cool fall guy.”
Now in 2023, he has his precious dog “son” Yeontan and exudes “cool fall guy” vibes on outings with his furry friend.

Jungkook‘s 2023 also looks a little different from what he predicted a decade ago.
In 2013, BTS’s maknae pictured himself as a duck meat restaurant owner or a tattooist.
In 2023, Jungkook isn’t a tattooist, but he does have the most tattoos in the group, and while he doesn’t currently own a duck meat restaurant, anything is possible for the talented BTS member.
