Rapper Lee Youngji Calls Out Elon Musk For Having To Pay For Twitter’s Blue Verified Check Mark

Rapper and TV personality Lee Youngji recently tweeted in annoyance after the verified blue check on her Twitter account disappeared.

With over 862,000 Twitter followers, Lee Youngji used to have a blue check until it disappeared one day. On April 20, Twitter started Twitter Blue, a paid subscription that allows users, even non-celebrities, to purchase a verified blue checkmark. Therefore, all existing blue checks disappeared for Twitter users—even BTS.

On June 5, Lee Youngji took to Twitter to complain about her missing blue checkmark.

I mean, I know that my account looks like an impersonation account, but it’s an official account—you can’t just take away the blue check. You shouldn’t have given it to me from the beginning; how can you give then take away?

You should take it away after a ‘Are you a robot?’ test or a ‘Choose the pictures with a traffic light’ test or something.
