Aespa’s Karina Catches Everyone Off Guard By Stepping Out In Public With New Short Hair

Aespa‘s Karina has sported long, luscious hair since the day she debuted. At some point, it even became her signature look.

But for the group’s recent comeback, the idol decided to bleach her hair blonde to better suit the song’s summer theme. What she didn’t anticipate, however, was how much it would harm her hair.

She explained how damaged her hair became in an episode of Eunchae Star Diary, comparing herself to a “burnt bird” and revealing that she even sees pieces flying away when she dries her hair.

I’m totally Team Black Hair. I don’t think I’ll ever go blonde again. This is the last time. Thank you. For one, it really damages my hair and when I come out of the shower, I look like a burnt bird.

The extent of the damage may be why she has decided to dye it back to black and cut it. She recently went public with her short haircut, and she lookedabsolutely lovely! The fan-taken pictures were shot after aespa was spotted leaving filming for variety show, Knowing Bros.

In the photos, she wore a laidback outfit consisting of an oversized black shirt, dark-washed jeans, and a cap.

What instantly caught fans’ attention was, of course, her very short hair!

Even though the cap was covering her features, it’s easy to tell how much it suits her.

MYs who viewed the pictures were pleasantly surprised. They praised the singer, saying she “looks so good” and comparing her to a university student after P.E class.

This isn’t the first time Karina surprised in visibly shorter hair. Last year, she uploaded several selfies showing off her mid-length hair on Bubble. She looked positively breathtaking!

Karina’s current look may be a drastic change from her usual long hair, but she looks gorgeous no matter what.
