Who’s Dating Who? The “Doctor Cha” Stars’ Real-Life Romances

Since its air date, many have enjoyed the comedic medical drama, Doctor Cha, starring Uhm Jung Hwa as Cha Jeong Suk, a housewife returning to her medical career, and Kim Byung Chul as Seo In Ho, Cha’s husband with a big secret.

While the love lives of those in the series are drama-filled, the cast’s real-life romances also have some surprises!

Unsurprisingly, many of the cast’s younger versions, like Park Joo Won, Park Tae In, Jo A Ram, and Moon Ye Jin, have not publicly revealed any relationships they have been in. Despite being a bit older, Song Ji Ho, who plays Seo Jung Min, the son of the two main characters, has not revealed any relationships.

Many of the main cast are in their 40s and 50s, which might make one assume they would be married or at least in public relationships. The reality could not be farther from the truth!

First, Myung Se Bin‘s — who plays Choi Seung Hee, Seo In Ho’s first love — most recent public relationship was her marriage to lawyer Gang Ho Sung.

The couple held a beautiful wedding, only to get divorced five months later, in January 2008, citing relationship issues that existed before they tied the knot.

Kim Byung Chul once had relationship rumors with his Sky Castle co-star Yoon Se Ah, even admitting to having a crush on the actress.

The rumors stayed rumors, neither confirming nor denying the existence of a relationship beyond friendship. Kim Byung Chul has stated he is open to dating and marriage but has not revealed any relationships.

Uhm Jung Hwa once went public with her relationship with  Jun Joon Hong, though the two parted ways in 2010.

Earlier this year, the 53-year-old actress shared she had no regrets about not being married, saying, “Marriage has never been something that I never felt like I needed to be happy.” The star also recently disclosed she once dated actor Im Won Hee when they were much younger.

Of the main cast, only Min Woo Hyuk is married.

The actor tied the knot with actress and former K-Pop idol Lee Semi in 2012, and they are happily married with two children, appearing on Return Of Superman.
