She took things a step further in her sub-unit with Irene when she created a whole Powerpoint detailing her vision for the visuals of “Monster.” Jampacked with references for hair, makeup, and outfits, some of the most stunning looks in “Monster” are thanks to Seulgi, and fans couldn’t be prouder.

With her solo album, 28 Reasons, Seulgi was involved in every step of the process, and even the tiniest details reflect her creative genius.

Seulgi once again proved how valuable her creative genius is in the behind-the-scenes video of her iconic album trailer. For the scene where she used a gun, Seulgi was the one who suggested a more realistic and toned-down look, in contrast to a possible femme fatale style.

She also spoke with the directors and stylists about the kind of makeup she would wear, especially since she would be working with makeup artists she didn’t know.

For the scenes representing her character’s past, Seulgi decided to incorporate reality into fiction, opting to replicate how she used to look in high school.

Besides styling, Seulgi also contributed her ideas to the acting scenes. While she’s never had an official acting role, her attention to detail makes her look like a seasoned actress.

Whether it be her facial expressions or body language, Seulgi consulted with the staff to portray the character’s emotions as strongly as possible, and even without saying a word, viewers were completely drawn into her character.

Along with the styling and acting, Seulgi’s artistry shone through in her choreography, in which she referenced Marvel’s Scarlet Witch.
“The choreography was inspired from Wanda, so there is a lot of flashy handwork. The dancers & I tried to make our moves kind of grotesque & there are parts where it looks like I'm controlling them.”
