TWICE’s Nayeon Finds It Difficult To Make Close Friends, But Chaeyoung And Other INFPs Might Be The Only Exception
본문
In the unreleased scenes video for Lee Young Ji‘s My Alcohol Diary (also known as No Prepare), TWICE‘s Nayeon and Chaeyoung talked about the compatibility of their MBTI personality types, and it might be one of the reasons why the two are such close friends.
The conversation started when Young Ji commented that Nayeon seemed to be the kind of person who couldn’t lie. Because of Young Ji’s accurate guess, Chaeyoung encouraged Young Ji to guess Nayeon’s MBTI.

To everyone’s surprise, including herself, Youngji guessed every letter right. Nayeon is an ISTP, so she’s a person full of curiosity, boldness, practicality, and loyalty.

However, being so logically-minded has its flaws. Young Ji commented that ISTPs tend to be the hardest to date. They tend to like being alone, and if they’re not interested, ISTPs won’t even give someone who likes them a chance.

It’s not just with romantic relationships, either. Nayeon revealed that she also has a hard time getting close to people in general.
I can’t really find the reason to be close to that person. It’s hard for me to meet even my close friends.

On the other hand, Chaeyoung is the kind of person who gets along with many people. INFPs also tend to like being alone, but they’re much more empathetic and place great importance on relationships.

While ISTPs and INFPs have similar traits, their greatest strengths are each other’s weaknesses, so the compatibility between the two can flip between extremes. But for Nayeon, INFPs have always been the personality she’s closest to.
All of my close friends have the same MBTI as Chaeyoung, ever since I was young.

For Nayeon, she finds that the differences between ISTPs and INFPs are more helpful than detrimental. She’s learned a lot from Chaeyoung and her INFP friends, especially when it comes to relating to others.

Nayeon and Chaeyoung have the cutest friendship, and their clinginess together is proof that despite their differences, they’ve become the closest of friends.
