Girl group NewJeans may have barely debuted for a month, but their popularity has already shot through the roof. Just a month into their debut, on September 22, 2022, they performed at their very first university festival at Dankook University in Seoul.
The response was nothing quite like anyone expected. The crowd was completely overwhelming, with thousands and thousands gathered to watch the girls perform. Photos of the crowd went up on community sites, wowing netizens. This is the view from a high hill above the stage.

Comments even pointed out that the crowd was 10 times what you see in the photo, in real life. Of course, a university festival also hosts many fun student activities open to the public.
