Former Miss A Member Fei Is Asked About Her Feelings Toward Suzy’s Success

Older fans of K-Pop are surely familiar with JYP Entertainment‘s Miss A.

The group consisting of members Fei, Suzy, Jia, and Min put the whole industry on alert when they debuted in 2010 with their hit single, “Bad Girl Good Girl.”

Spurred on by Park Jin Young’s signature R&B soul influence, the group would go on to dominate charts with hits such as “Hush,” “Good-bye Baby,” and “Only You.”

Despite their popularity, the group couldn’t overcome the seven-year curse and officially broke up in 2017.  Fei and Jia are now promoting in China, while Min is still active as a singer in Korea. As for Suzy, the singer has become one of K-Pop’s most enduring icons and is heavily sought after for K-Dramas, movies, and commercials.

Although the group is no longer together for many, the members will forever be intertwined as proven by a recent interview with former member Fei. In the interview, which is gaining traction in Korea, Fei is asked about how she felt about Suzy’s success post-Miss A.

Fei first complimented Suzy’s work ethic.

Suzy was a trainee for only ten months while the rest of the members trained for a long time. Suzy worked hard to be on par with the other members.

The interviewer then asked, “How do you feel about Suzy’s success? There are many who say they know Miss A because of Suzy.” To which Fei gracefully responded that she was happy about Suzy’s success.

Suzy is awesome. I’m very happy for her success. She works really hard. JYP Entertainment really pushed her hard. In the end, it means more people learn about Miss A, which is a good thing.

Fei has also enjoyed a great amount of success herself. After beginning her promotions in China, the singer has featured in dramas and became a star through her appearance on the music program Sisters Who Make Waves, which catapulted her popularity to being ranked no.1 on Weibo’s 2020 list for rising stars. Fei released her much anticipated Chinese album Fearless in 2021, and its single “Stalker” ranked first on China’s largest music streaming platform QQ Music.
