Actress Yoo Joo Eun has passed away at the age of 27.
According to her brother’s post on her Instagram, actress Yoo Joo Eun passed away by suicide on August 29. Her brother posted her suicide note on her Instagram account.
I’m sorry for leaving first. I’m especially to my mom, dad, grandmother, and older brother.
My heart is just screaming out that I don’t want to live. Your life may be emptier without me but please live bravely. I’ll watch over all of you. Please don’t cry, you’ll be hurt.
I’m not sad at all anymore. I’m very calm and resolute. Maybe it’s because I was thinking about this for a long time.
I’ve lived a happy life beyond my means, so that’s enough for me. This much was enough. So please don’t blame anyone else, and continue living.
I’m not dead, so live well. I would like to invite a lot of people to my funeral and thank them for their hard work.
I really wanted to act. Maybe that was my everything and part of me. But it wasn’t easy to live that life. I didn’t want to do anything else. It was so hopeless. It’s a blessing to want to do something, but I also realized it was a curse to only want to do one thing.
God will not send me to hell because he loves me. You’ll understand my feelings and take care of me from now on, so don’t worry everyone.
And to my beloved family, friends, and loves. Thank you so much for loving me. You were my strength and smile. I think I lived a successful life because I lived up to the end with memories I will never forget. Thank you for embracing me and understanding me even though I was lacking and impatient. I’m sorry I couldn’t express it well. But you know how I feel.

Yoo Eun Joo made her debut in 2018 in tvN K-Drama Big Forest. She then had roles in TV CHOSUN‘s Joseon Survival Period which starred Seo Ji Seok, Kyung Soo Jin, and Park Se Wan, and MBC‘s Never Twice, which starred Yoon Yuh Jung, Park Se Wan, and Kwak Dong Yeon.
