The winners for 2021 were revealed seven months ago, and the 2022 nominees were revealed six months ago. So, the nominations are still ongoing, and netizens can vote for their picks.
Yet, recently, the news was circulating online that BTS‘s leader RM had allegedly won, specifically over British actor Henry Cavill.
Some even reported that RM had “dethroned” Henry Cavill for the title of “World’s Most Handsome Face.” Yet, Burmese model, actor, and singer Paing Takhon was the one to receive the title in 2021.
Still, due to the “fake news,” RM became the target of cyberbullying as netizens expressed outrage.

Many netizens made offensive, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, and transphobic comments toward RM.
It has gotten so out of hand that TC Candler has released a statement regarding the matter. It was confirmed that the official crowning was not yet revealed and won’t be until December 2022.
