TXT’s Soobin And Beomgyu Spill On Who In TXT They Thought They Could Never Be Friends With

K-Pop idol group members spend most of their time together, from the moment that they join an entertainment company as a trainee to debuting and promoting as a group. Most groups become extremely close friends in the process but for some, personality differences can make it hard for everyone to get along at first.

TXT‘s Soobin and Beomgyu had similar experiences and recently revealed who they had never imagined they’d be friends with within the group when they first met.

During their special Talk X Tick Room video, TXT answered a variety of questions from the past and present. When the question of who they thought they could never be friends with when they first met was picked, Soobin and Beomgyu took a moment to consider who they would say.

Beomgyu eventually stated that if he had to choose he would pick Taehyun. The reasoning he gave is the “T and F” differences between the two, referring to their MBTI personality types.

Beomgyu is an ENFJ while Taehyun is an ESTP. The “T and F” differences stand for thinking vs feeling meaning Beomgyu is more likely to consider people’s feelings and emotions when he makes decisions while Taehyun is more logical when it comes to choices.

Beomgyu recalls that sometimes he had moments where “I couldn’t understand him.” This makes sense as thinking and feeling personality types can often clash over decisions that the other makes!

Soobin stated that among the members, Yeonjun was the one he was the most awkward with as he was unsure how to act around him. Later in the video, Soobin recalls how Yeonjun pretended to be the same age or younger than Soobin to make him more comfortable, but it resulted in the opposite!

In fact, Soobin says that he only got close to him once they both became candidates for debuting and that in the year before, he couldn’t really talk to Yeonjun because of how awkward he felt!

Despite their initial awkwardness, all the members of TXT get along very well now. Many fans say that their group chemistry is part of the reason why they are so successful! Taehyun has even stated that he couldn’t imagine living without Beomgyu because of the differences in their personalities.
