Actor Kim Woo Bin Gives Update On His Condition After 5 Years Since Cancer Diagnosis

Actor and model Kim Woo Bin has updated on his condition.
Kim Woo Bin’s last K-Drama since his 2017 cancer diagnosis was back in 2016 with Uncontrollably Fond until this year. He made his comeback with tvN K-Drama Our Blues, which aired from April to June, alongside an all-star cast, including his girlfriend, Shin Min Ah.
Throughout the years, Shin Min Ah stayed by his side and assisted in his recovery.

Kim Woo Bin fully completed his recovery from nasopharyngeal cancer in 2019 and has since been slowly returning to the entertainment industry.
Kim Woo Bin has been extremely busy with his schedules as of late and during this period, he felt his body’s condition wasn’t good so he went to the hospital. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with nasopharynx cancer. Luckily, it was not too late to start treatment…he will come back when he is completely healthy again so we wish everyone will wish him the best during these times.

In addition to Our Blues, he has already confirmed his appearance in the movies Wiretap and Alienoid.
In several interviews promoting his latest sci-fi movie, Alienoid, Kim Woo Bin answered questions about his health. So, he expressed that he wishes he could be more like his movie character, who can give a percentage of how well his condition is. Nevertheless, he reassured everyone that he is much healthier now.
It’d be cool if I could tell you how well I feel with a percentage, kind of like how my character from the movie can. But, really, I feel much better and healthier than before.

Kim Woo Bin added that he recently went for a checkup since it was his fifth anniversary of completing treatment for nasopharynx cancer. Thankfully, the doctor confirmed that his condition has much improved.
Last Tuesday was my five year anniversary since I completed treatment. So I went in for a checkup. The doctor also confirmed that I’m in a much better condition than I was before.

The actor revealed that since being diagnosed and recovering, he has reflected on his way of life. Now, he focuses more on living in the moment and trying to enjoy life rather than worrying his present self about the future.
In the past, I lived for the future. I worked out to have a better-looking body in the future. And when I skipped sleep to work, it was to do a better job at acting in the future. Living for the future, I tortured my present self. But now, I live each moment in the present. I try to enjoy life as is and feel everything in the present. I try to focus on the people in front of me right now. That has reduced my stress level almost completely. Finally, I’ve learned how to love the work that I do and live a life that I love.

Kim Woo Bin also emphasized the importance of regular health checkups and encouraged others to get them.
