American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has confirmed that the music video for his and BTS Jungkook‘s collaboration “Left and Right” depicts a BL (Boy Love) relationship.
Last weekend, the two singers released their anticipated collab single. Along with it came a fun music video we’ve all been obsessed with.
The music video clearly had a storyline as Charlie Puth was depicted struggling to get someone “out of his head,” even resorting to going to a “Love Doctor.” The only other person in the video, though, was Jungkook. So, naturally, viewers couldn’t help but wonder if the love song and its MV were actually meant to represent a relationship between two men.

Now, speculations regarding Charlie Puth and Jungkook’s characters’ relationship in the music video have been confirmed by Puth himself.
Charlie Puth reposted a comment from the MV’s YouTube comment section to Instagram Stories. He highlighted the portion that praised the presumably gay characters and their relationship with each other. Henceforth, by endorsing the comment, he has confirmed the theory.
Since no one else is pictured besides the two, the assumption that the two guys are occupying each other’s mind, which I think is great! I’m all for normalizing this.
