ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo and Moon Ga Young open up about the pressures they feel in their upcoming starring roles for the tvN drama adaptation of popular webtoon True Beauty.
At a recent online press conference, the actors of the drama answered tons of questions about their latest project!
Actress Moon Ga Young has been cast in the main role of Im Joo Kyung, who she describes as “timid, yet optimistic, and charming as an overall lovely character.”
Moon Ga Young further revealed that while preparing for the role was fun, she definitely felt tons of pressure to do justice to the character.
It was a huge pressure to play the character, as the original webcomic has been so popular. The least I could do was to take how the viewers see this character and put it into my own style of acting.

Cha Eunwoo, who plays Lee Su Ho, expressed similar sentiments, and talked about the pressure of portraying such a “perfect” character.
It would be a lie if I said I didn’t feel the pressure because Su Ho is depicted as such a “perfect guy” in the webcomic. But I think there are some parts [of the character] that could only be expressed through the TV series.

True Beauty is based on the webtoon of the same name and is set to air on December 9 at 10:30 KST.
