His short vlog from Epik High’s stop in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, back in March was recently taken down. So, when you go to view it now, it reads, “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

Tablo also received notice from Twitter regarding the takedown. He was informed that his video was taken down “in response to the DMCA takedown notice.” “DMCA” refers to the United States copyright law, The Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
When someone commits a DMCA violation, they may receive a DMCA notice asking them to take down or delete all copyrighted content immediately. If they fail to comply, the offender could have their account or website suspended by their ISP. They could also be subject to civil or criminal penalties.

Tablo received another message from Twitter, announcing that his account had been locked. Again, it was due to claims of copyright infringement.

Naturally, Tablo was upset about the matter. He called out Twitter via Twitter for striking him with DMCA over his own content, featuring nothing but Epik High, his own group.
So… now @Twitter has DMCA’d a vlog filled with my own face and my own music, and I was locked out of my account as a result…

Fans were confused about how such a crazy thing could happen and also attempted to bring the matter to Twitter’s attention on Tablo’s behalf.
Others were able to empathize, having been through similar situations. Some also pointed out how BTS have received copyright strikes even for just selfies!
Likewise, BTS World‘s official account was completely suspended over a similar situation. So, netizens are taking advantage of and abusing Twitter’s copyright policy.
Tablo has since updated his original post, assuring that Twitter has been in contact and are attempting to help so that this kind of issue doesn’t reoccur.
twitter is helping so it doesn’t happen again!
