MONSTA X are currently nearing the end of their 2022 NO LIMIT US TOUR.

The tour has been highly anticipated among MONBEBEs (fans on MONSTA X) as it was postponed a few times.

It proved to be worth the wait, though, as there have been numerous unforgettable moments as the members delivered flawless live vocals, rigorous choreography, and, of course, hilarious antics. There have also been beautiful fan projects.

Yet, it is not only MONBEBEs enjoying the tour. Even venue staff are simping over MONSTA X!

Unfortunately, staff differs from venue to venue. So, while some tour stops have great staff working the events, you may counter an entirely different environment at the next stop.

So, recently, MONSTA X performed in Fort Worth, Texas, at Dickies Arena on June 6. While the concert itself was great, as always can be expected from MONSTA X, a fan in attendance reported an unpleasant experience with the venue’s staff.

Fans who attended have been sharing their experiences on social media and leaving reviews on Google. Already, there have been some reports about “rude staff” at Dickies Arena, although everything else was good.

A MONBEBE who attended MONSTA X’s Fort Worth concert recounted her experience at Dickies Arena via a MONSTA X fan page on Facebook. They revealed an alleged negative interaction they had with multiple staff.

I had a great time at the Ft. Worth concert last night. I just wanted to share the unpleasant thing that happened as I was leaving Dickies Arena. I left right before the encore since I had to drive home and don’t see as well at night and wanted to miss the traffic.

First, the Dickies Arena staff allegedly doubted MONSTA X’s abilities. They did not believe it was possible for people to both sing live and dance.

Anyway, as I was going out the south exit, there were three older Dickies staff. I greeted them and told them I felt slightly deaf because all of the screaming. The first woman proceeded to say something like, ‘you know they lip sync, right?’

The MONBEBE attempted to explain that idols undergo training to prepare for such complexed performances. MONSTA X even went through Mnet‘s reality survival show No.Mercy in order to form the group.

I told her that I was 100% sure that they do not lip sync. I was then informed that there is no way someone can dance like that and sing at the same time. I explained how hard idols train and practice.

Still, the staff allegedly found more to complain about. The conversation quickly became apparently xenophobic as the staff made derogatory comments about the members’ English or lack thereof.

The second lady said ‘they can’t speak English.’

Again, the MONBEBE defended MONSTA X. They explained that all the members actually could speak English, and one (I.M) is, in fact, fluent.

I patientialy explained that they all speak some English and that one of them is fluent. All of them have better English skills than my Korean skills!

And, when the MONBEBE pointed out that they themselves are not as skilled in multiple languages as MONSTA X are, the staff continued to speak derogatorily in reference to the members’ country.

The third woman then asked me if I knew they were from South Korea. WTF?

Other MONBEBEs were shocked and horrified at the story upon reading the post. Netizens called out the staff for unprofessional behavior.

So, they are attempting to bring it to Dickies Arena’s attention. The original poster has already contacted the venue as well.

I have already called Dickies Arena to complain. I felt personally insulted and disrespected on behalf of the boys.

Unfortunately, it’s becoming a regular occurrence that K-Pop idols become the target of racism and xenophobia when they visit the U.S. for events. BLACKPINK‘s Rosé, NCT‘s Johnny, and AleXa have recently been the subject of viral clips showcasing the prejudice. Likewise, BTS spoke at The White House about anti-Asian hate.
