French Beauty Influencer Apologizes For Bumping Into IU On The Red Carpet At The 2022 Cannes Film Festival

A clip of IU (also known as Lee Ji Eun) being pushed on the red carpet by a French influencer has gone viral.
The clip is from May 27, on the red carpet of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
In the clip, you can see a woman bumping shoulders with IU. Fans were mortified to see that the woman then walked on as if nothing happened without giving IU an apology.
IU handled herself with grace and smiled after the incident.
Netizens were able to identify the woman as french influencer Maria Travel, and have since let her know how they felt about the incident.
The influencer has since apologized to IU and her fans and stated that it was done by accident and that she didn’t mean it.
Korean netizens, however, felt otherwise stating, “It’s obvious that she did it on purpose,” “Doesn’t westerners apologize right away,” “She bumped into the ‘Asian’ girl on purpose then saw her followers and got her mind right,” “Bumped into her and didn’t even look at her, this is right out racism” among others.
