Former Wonder Girls Member Hyerim Admits TWICE’s Jihyo Made Her Feel Extremely Insecure

Former Wonder Girls member Hyerim recently made an appearance as a mentor on KBS2‘s On Dream School and it was here that she revealed some honest confessions about herself.

The newlywed revealed on the November 29th episode that her first love growing up was singing and dancing. She would practice dancing in front of a mirror at home rather than studying when she was a student. So when she heard about a JYP Entertainment audition in Hong Kong, she decided to give it a shot.

I heard about the JYP auditions in Hong Kong so I decided to go for it. I had to go by myself without my family or friends. However, I was able to do it because I needed to be a singer.

The former girl group member also revealed the harsh reality she faced when she went to Korea to become a trainee after passing her auditions.

When I was in Hong Kong, I believed that I was the prettiest and that I was the best at dancing. However, when I entered the practice room on my first day, I realized that everyone was better than me and much prettier than me.

It was here that she revealed her first impressions after meeting TWICE‘s Jihyo for the first time and how that made her feel.

TWICE’s Jihyo was there and her eyes were much bigger than mine. She was also much prettier than me. I felt like a small pond frog that suddenly moved to the ocean.

Honestly, my self esteem plummeted in that moment.

Wonder girls fans and TWICE fans can probably agree that the two girls are both equally beautiful and talented in their own ways. Hyerim and Jihyo have also maintained a close relationship with one another as Jihyo was spotted, along with other TWICE members at Hyerim’s wedding earlier this year.
