ARMYs Find A Reference To An Iconic Moment Between BTS’s J-Hope And Jungkook In The “BTS Island: In The Seom” Trailer

Considering that BTS debuted all the way back in 2013, it isn’t surprising that the members have been through so much together, whether it’s the ups or the downs. They’ve also been very vocal about these moments and have shared them with ARMYs, showcasing just comfortable they feel with showing their true selves.
Recently, BTS has taken ARMYs down memory lane but in the cutest and subtlest way ever as the countdown has started for the release of their new game BTS Island: In The SEOM.
The game is due to be released in the summer. So far, all ARMYs known is that it has been described as a story-rich game and will feature the story of seven friends living on an island, as well as fun and addicting puzzles and more!
The members have already showcased their chaotic side in a special teaser where the group becomes producers for the game.
On Apri l 26 (KST), a new trailer was released showing the actual game and there is no denying that it looks adorable, with all the characters and stories for ARMYs to play with.

Yet, one moment caught the attention of some eagle-eyed ARMYs as the game seemed to reference an iconic moment that all fans know about, and it’s the “Banana Incident” that happened between J-Hope and Jungkook.
In the game trailer, one moment shows the J-Hope character throwing a banana at the Jungkook character while saying, “Here you eat them all.”

For those who don’t know, BTS has spoken several times about this incident. During the documentary Burn The Stage, the members recalled a moment when they fought over the choreography and they explained it was better than if they fought over food.

The members joked that they’d fought a lot over food. J-Hope explained, “I even threw him (Jungkook) a banana.” The duo then went on to explain what actually happened during the incident, but they all saw the funny side to it.
J-Hope: I was like, “Whatever. Just eat it.”
Jungkook: Honestly, I was a little shocked. A person can change like this.

When they were on You Quiz on the Block, they also spoke about this infamous incident where J-Hope described the moment in more detail and how it all happened.
He got a banana from his fan. Anyway, I took a banana and ate it. Then Jungkook asked who ate the banana.

Jungkook realized that J-Hope wasn’t telling it accurately, and he brought his own perspective, sharing what actually happened during the “Banana Incident.”
Well, gifts in your early debut years are so precious. There were a bunch of fruits. My whole fruits. I couldn’t stand it anymore so I told them to stop eating… and said those are mine.

Jungkook: That time, J-Hope was having a banana. He was eating it like this. Then suddenly spit it out.
J-Hope: I threw it to Jungkook. In hindsight, I feel sorry to him.

When ARMYs saw the reference, they couldn’t hide their emotions at the fact that the group had come so far past that moment that they could joke about it. Many even loved that they saw the moment re-enacted with words and sounds.
