On Twitter, American producer Mike Dean questioned BTS’s legitimacy as songwriters, instigated a feud with ARMY, and eventually apologized for tweets that he says were written in anger.
Docskim personally responded to Mike Dean, expressing his disappointment while defending BTS’s talent.
As a keyboardist/producer and fan of hip hop, I’m inspired by @therealmikedean. He’s one of the legends.
BTS are my little brothers and amazingly talented guys.
Just disappointed that someone I look up to said those things.
Hard to explain..
But definitely not okay.

Docskim began working with BTS as a keyboardist. He credits Jimin‘s solo “Lie,” a song from BTS’s 2016 WINGS album, with launching his career as a producer.
'Lie' is the first song I produced that made my dream of being a producer into reality.

Now, Docskim is calling out more inappropriate behavior, and not just Mike Dean’s. Today, Docskim screenshotted and called out an alleged ARMY for bringing Mike Dean’s deceased mother into their feud.
“I contemplated suicide every day after my mom passed away,” Docskim wrote. He told the fan, “I suggest you go and find purpose in life.”
This is an Army’s response to @therealmikedean

In the comments, ARMYs are condemning the fan’s appalling tweet and assuring Docskim that it does not represent the fandom in its entirety.
In a series of tweets, Docskim explained why he chose to speak up rather than stay silent about Mike Dean’s comments about BTS. In many ways, Mike Dean’s music is to Docskim what BTS’s music is to ARMY.
I try to stand for what’s right. And that’s why I spoke up for BTS in the first place. But you have to understand my perspective. BTS’ music for Army is a lot like what the music @therealmikedean made was for me. Sometimes, a moment in life can be captured perfectly by a single song.
Listening to College Dropout every day on the bus in high school made me want to be a producer. Graduation got me interested in synths. MBDTF and Astroworld inspired me to keep pushing. [RM] and I hit each other up when Donda came out. Two days later, my daughter was born.
Calling out one of my idols out was not something I wanted to do but I felt personally obligated.

Docskim also asked ARMY not to rationalize or engage in “toxic behavior,” including harassment. “That’s not what BTS stand for,” he wrote.
To anyone who took my words out of context as the go-ahead to harass Mike Dean.
That wasn’t it.
Please don’t rationalize toxic behavior.
That’s not what BTS stand for.
Nor do I.He said inexcusable things but has since apologized for his words.

Instead, he hopes that ARMY will make the world a more positive place, especially during these difficult times.
There’s a lot of bad sh*t happening in the world right now.
Like truly vile, inhumane, and despicable sh*t.
Use your time/energy to contribute to the world someway, somehow.
Right now, we need all the good vibes we can get.
I’m going back to making music now.
