Although K-Pop groups can seem like fictional beings, idols ensure that they maintain a close relationship with fans by interacting with them, whether it’s through social media platforms, content, or live broadcasts. However, sometimes fans can take advantage of that, and it can greatly impact an idol.
Recently, ARMYs have raised concerns for BTS‘s Jungkook after a live broadcast was interrupted by calls that scared the idol.

Unfortunately, as Jungkook was trying to enjoy his time with ARMYs, something happened that spooked the idol. The live broadcast was done in a hotel room, and at one point, Jungkook got a call. Yet, when he went to pick it up, nobody was there.
These phone calls kept happening, but each time Jungkook went to pick it up, nobody was there and the idol thought he was being prank-called.

Even after Jungkook called out the person phoning him, the calls continued and the idol started sharing his concerns about what was happening.
In particular, it wasn’t surprising when the idol shared that he didn’t like getting the calls as the ringing noise was starting to scare him because it resembled something out of a horror movie.

Although some idols might have shied away from saying anything, the calls got too much for the group’s youngest member, and Jungkook called out the person who was phoning him.
You’re watching the VLIVE, right? Who are you? Don’t do it. I don’t like the phone call ringing sound. I’m annoyed and it’s scary. I’m getting goosebumps.

He even showed off the phone and emphasized the seriousness of what was happening and why it was so scary, adding that the cracked phone and the calls seemed to resemble a “Horror” movie.

In the end, a staff member had to come and take the phone out of Jungkook’s room after they confirmed that the calls weren’t from anyone important.
When the broadcast finished, ARMYs rightly went on social media to share their concerns about what had happened. They trended the phrases “LEAVE HIM ALONE” and “sasaeng” on Twitter. For many, they were concerned that a sasaeng fan could’ve found out the to om Jungkook was in and decided to phone him to confirm it.

Others pointed out that Jungkook was just trying to be nice and speak to fans, but someone was making the idol feel uncomfortable, certifying the fact that they definitely weren’t a true fan of the group.
i'm so serious. whoever was doing prank calls on jungkook's hotel room's phone and was scaring him, i hope you have a very bad night and that your pillows are warm both sides and that you bump your little toe on some furniture!
