The New Average Heights For Korean Men & Women Have Been Announced — These Are The K-Pop Idols Who Match Them Perfectly

Recently, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards held the 8th Korean Human Body Examination to determine what the average heights and weights of South Korean citizens are at the current time.

The examination consisted of 6,839 participants between the ages of 20-69, and has been conducted every five years since 1979.

For the most recent examination, the average height for Korean men was measured to be 172.5cm (or 5’7.9″), and the average height for Korean women was 159.6cm (or 5’2.8″).

Interestingly, these measurements are 6.4cm (2.5″) and 5.3cm (2.1″) taller than the average heights in 1979 respectively!

When it comes to K-Pop idols, it’s interesting to look at whether or not there are a lot of idols who fit this nationwide average. Of course, some are quite a bit taller or shorter than the average, but there are a lot who do match the average perfectly!
