BTS’s Suga Confessed That He Was Actually Symptomatic Despite BIGHIT MUSIC’s Statement

It’s been two years now, but the COVID-19 pandemic is not just ongoing, but it seems worse than ever sometimes, especially as cases rise in South Korea.
So, during BTS‘s March 19th live broadcast, the members couldn’t help but mention their concerns amidst more casual conversations about wardrobe malfunctions and scammers to new music and the dark side of Pokémon.

In December 2021, Suga, RM, and Jin all received positive test results. Jimin not only was tested for COVID-19 but had acute appendicitis in January, then V tested positive in February. On March 24, BIGHIT MUSIC announced J-Hope was the latest member diagnosed with COVID-19. Jungkook is now the only BTS member who has not tested positive for the virus.

Since the cases are surging in South Korea right now, RM and Suga advised ARMYs watching their live broadcast to “take care” during these times.

Unfortunately, the members and their families have been affected by the pandemic. RM’s entire family caught it as well as Suga’s mother.

Suga reassured them that his mother was okay. Yet, he revealed a shocking truth about his own condition.
When in December, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that Suga had been tested positive for COVID-19, he was described as asymptomatic.

BTS member SUGA was confirmed with COVD-19 on Friday, December 24 during his self-quarantine after taking the PCR test immediately upon his return to Korea on Thursday, December 23.
SUGA completed his second round of the COVID-19 vaccination in late August and is not presenting any symptoms as of today. He is currently administering self-care at home per the guidelines of the healthcare authorities.
SUGA, who has had a number of personal engagements in the U.S. during BTS’ official time off, had tested negative for the PCR test taken before leaving the U.S., and began his self-quarantine after taking the PCR test upon his return to Korea. He received positive results during quarantine, and there was no contact with the other members.
The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid SUGA in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the healthcare authorities.

During the recent live broadcast, Suga revealed that he had actually experienced symptoms during that period. Still, he requested that the company say otherwise out of concern that ARMYs would be too worried.
I said my symptoms are not that severe because I thought you may worry, but I had symptoms.

There have been mixed responses since finding out the truth. Some are upset that BIGHIT MUSIC misinformed them, while others are happy to know that statements are made through consulting with members themselves first. Besides, Suga was only thinking of ARMY in the first place.
